Candidate Information Management System

In order for recruitment activities to be fully effective, it is important to have a system in place that allows for the efficient management of candidate information. Ideally, such a system would be computer-based and, therefore, allow the information to be sorted along different dimensions such as date/time of application, geographical location or education/certification. Not only does computer-manageable information allow for efficient sorting, it also facilitates retrieval and e-mail communication. Management programs are available and should be investigated if the recruitment process involves large volumes of résumés/applications. In a similar sense, the use of on-line applications that in turn can be sorted and stored electronically can make the process more efficient and reduce costs.
